WebI tested positive for citrobacter freundii overgrowth/infection. Also probable SIBO though waiting on test results. My doc thinks citrobacter is causing most of the issues and thinks I should start with cipro or Bactrim (the test said it would be sensitive to cipro, Bactrim, and tetracycline). I’m really reluctant to take broad spectrum ... WebI highly recommend every person with SIBO get a G.I. map or comprehensive stool analysis and I got both. Waiting results of G.I. map right now, and should receive in 10 days.. sadly the G.I. map does not do susceptibility testing but uses quantitative PCR technology to identify bacteria much much better than culture from the comprehensive stool ... can phenylketonuria be prevented
